We are very proud to announce the 2nd edition of Essentials of Linguistics, a free, open-access textbook for teaching Introduction to Linguistics. This new edition is considerably revised and expanded, including several new chapters, diverse language examples from signed and spoken languages, enhanced accessibility features, and an orientation towards equity and justice. While the primary audience is Canadian students, it is also suitable for learners elsewhere, in online, hybrid, or in-person courses.

We participated in the organized session on Scholarly Teaching in the Age of Covid-19 and Beyond at the 2021 Annual Meeting of thje Linguistic Society of America.
